  • music strategy
  • rotation planning
  • music controlling

Martin’s enthusiasm for radio has been shown very early. Having used his parents’ record collection for producing his first radio shows, he had his live debut in a real radio show at the age of 14 – at the children’s radio of the Hessischer Rundfunk. That’s when he knew: That’s where I belong!

Besides school he had always been working for the Hessischer Rundfunk and got to ask all his questions to his radio colleagues. During vacations his preferred working place was the music department of hr3. After graduating school Martin did a classical trainee program at the private Bavarian radio station Radio Primaton. There he presented several shows, e.g. two years of morning show and became responsible for the music planning after a short period of time. In the following years Martin had been working for several private and public radio stations in Germany. His focus was always the music – editorial and strategical.

In 2013 Martin joined the Bayerischer Rundfunk as the person responsible for the music of Bayern 1. Since 2014 he has been working as a consultant for BCI and supports clients all over Europe when it comes to music editing, strategic music planning and the implementation of research results.
